2012 California Vacation

Our chosen family vacation for 2012 was Southern California. We revisited some popular places we'd been before when we lived there, but this time with Madison and a much older McKenna. We spent our first day at Disneyland and California Adventure. It was great to have all of the kids be tall enough for the rides for once. I was able to persuade McKenna to ride the Tower of Terror, but only one time. Madison loved it, and insisted she ride a second time! She is fearless, just like her brother, Chase. He had a great time, and even made it a goal of his to get a picture with every single character it the parks we were at. The great part was there weren't any lines! We picked a good time to go, too, since the weather was just perfect. The second and third day we went to Universal Studios. The fourth day we spent at the beach, and that night experienced our first Pirate Dinner Show. Shanna called it a "nerd convention," but I think she secretly liked it. Here are some pictures from the show. Of course, Chase was chosen to get a picture with the dancer. Such a ladies man!

Madison loves her dance class! She was in her costume and all ready for the pictures with her class today, but we decided to sneak in a few of our own at home first. I like the way she poses for each one. So cute!
